Our founder Jeff Butler served 9 years in the USAF, specializing in Engineering & Installation of communication sites & equipment. When he honorably separated from the USAF he founded E&I Wireless Contractors (E&I) in 2001. E&I installs telecommunication sites for companies like Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile & Cricket. With solar gaining momentum, in 2016 he took the opportunity to work at a solar manufacturing plant in San Antonio in a senior role to learn the intricacies of solar modules. He has used the knowledge gained from that 4+ years and combined it with his 20+ years in construction knowledge and founded TXEN Solar. What better way to understand what needs to be done on the roof to optimize an install than to learn from the people who make the modules. He is also a proud husband, father, grandpa and veteran.

Matt is one of our Project Managers, he has been in construction for 5+ years installing communication infrastructure. Ranging from dropping in point to point lines to revamping hospital backbones by installing and fusion splicing fiber optic cables. Matt is instrumental in planning & scheduling our crews as well as working with procurement so everything runs smoothly.
Our Master Electrician Darrin has held his Master License for over 20+ years. He has worked in commercial and residential construction for 25+ years now. He has trained and mentored several people during his career helping them obtain their Journeyman’s licenses.
